The BGR Reablement Team is looking for an enthusiastic and committed new member to recruit to its' team. The post is for a full time and permanent Occupational Therapist. The BGR Reablement team provides support to various reablement projects across the Broxtowe, Gedling and Rushcliffe districts; such as START service and the Assessment Bed project at Leivers Court.

The post involves completing occupational therapy assessments around daily living functioning, equipment needs, setting reablement goals and reviewing outcomes for the citizens the team delivers service to. As the Occupational therapist you will take on more complex cases within the teams work flow, support duty and act as safeguarding officer where appropriate in safeguarding investigations. The post holder will need to be able to work to the department’s policies and procedures, use IT and record accurately and appropriately.

Applications are welcomed from both newly qualified and experienced qualified Occupational Therapists who are HCPC registered. A programme of induction, access to training and regular supervision will be provided to enhance career development and maintain the standards of care set out by the Department. Initially the post will be based at Leivers Court and Prospect House, depending on needs of the service.

We have mobilised our social care teams which means that employees are issued with tablet devices to enable them to work more flexibly and reduce overall travel times between appointments. We are currently undergoing a programme of transformation to ensure we are a modern workplace and are able to respond quickly to changes within our sector.

In addition to this both Social and Health care reablement services are undergoing further transformations and the team are embracing the changes of a developing service provision. The department’s priority is to provide good quality social care services to Nottinghamshire residents, in particular focussing on promoting independence and wellbeing, ensuring value for money and promoting choice and control.
