We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated and team-oriented individual to appoint into the post of Social Work Support Officer. As part of a busy social work team, you will provide essential administration support to Social Workers in Children’s Social Care.

You will need to be an experienced administrator with strong administration skills which includes having a working knowledge of Microsoft packages which includes, word, excel, databases, power point and Outlook. Minute taking experience would be advantageous.

You will also need to be highly organised, have excellent time management skills, be able to work towards and meet deadlines and be able to build up excellent interpersonal relationships with colleagues and service users alike.

This role will be the first point of contact for families, carers and partner agencies, and so you will be able to manage difficult conversations tactfully, respectfully and effectively over the telephone and occasionally in person. Therefore, you will need excellent listening, recording and typing skills to record information accurately onto our internal database system (Mosaic).

This role is an administration/office-based post with some hybrid working/home working, however there may be a requirement for limited travel on occasion, and so a driving licence would be advantageous (a taxi service will be provided where disability precludes this).

Working pattern: Wednesday PM, Thursday 08.30 to 17.00 and Friday 08.30 to 16.30.
