About Firbeck Academy

Firbeck Academy is a proud and caring school, a special place where we seek to meet the best interests of the children in our care.

By providing a caring ethos within an engaging and challenging curriculum, staff encourage children to enjoy learning whilst developing the skills which will support them in growing up to be caring, independent, responsible people and life-long learners.

Firbeck Academy promotes British values through providing a school council whose members are actively involved in the democratic process, a geography curriculum that covers global citizenship, and a religious education curriculum that teaches about the shared values that religion can promote.

We also believe that we can best achieve the highest possible outcomes our pupils by working closely with parents and carers. The school doesn’t work in isolation and encourages all parents to take an active part in the education of their children. The partnership between school staff, parents, governors and other stakeholders is an essential and a valued one.
