Teaching Assistant/Senior Teaching Assistant

To start Monday 4th September 2023.

We wish to appoint a permanent Teaching Assistant to join our friendly, talented and enthusiastic team of staff. We are looking for a member of staff to combine classroom support each morning with class cover each afternoon. In the mornings, they will support children, working with Class Teachers, to reach high standards of learning and achievement. The afternoon role will be to provide cover for the provision of PPA/release time for teaching staff across the school, plus short term cover for absence for other staff. The successful candidate must be qualified to at least NVQ3 or equivalent and their qualification must be recognised as a ‘full and relevant’ Early Years qualification. We are looking for a well-motivated Teaching Assistant who is confident in supporting and challenging children in all stages of their primary education. This role would be suitable for job-share, with the Grade 3 hours (initially mornings) worked separately to the Grade 4 hours (initially afternoons). Alternatively, both contracts could be held by one person working 32.5 hours.
