We are looking for a talented Attendance Officer and Learning Mentor to join our school. Suitable for an experienced educational professional your responsibilities will include:

Providing a specialist service to help the school to raise achievement by improving school attendance and punctuality and to meet our attendance targets.

Promoting positive attitudes by pupils and their families towards education and ensuring that parents / carers are made fully aware of their statutory responsibilities, particularly where there is persistent absence. The role will include making unsupervised home visits and attending meetings at school, off site and virtually.

Establishing and developing a professional service to support the school in raising attendance, investigating persistent absences and improving punctuality.

Providing strategic academic and wellbeing support, and mentoring for pupils who are LAC/PP, and coordinate strategies of intervention with pastoral teams and external agencies.

You will be comfortable handling data on Excel and confident in producing accurate written reports for external agencies and internal stakeholders.
