An exciting opportunity has arisen to provide essential services for older and vulnerable to help them remain independent at home. These include a voluntary transport scheme and Handy Housekeepers home support service.

The voluntary transport scheme provides a personalised transport service to over 400 people in Rushcliffe & Gedling. The scheme is open to anyone in the area who finds it difficult to access suitable transport. The service is provided by our helpful and caring volunteer drivers.

The Handy Housekeepers home support service offers caring staff to undertake general housework, shopping and laundry at people’s homes to support independent living. Our goal is to provide excellent home support to those that need it.

You will work closely with colleagues to organise, promote and develop the services, recruit and support volunteer drivers and staff, and be the main point of contact for registered and new users of our services. We need individuals with excellent people skills who have a good understanding of the needs of older people and who have a strong commitment to providing a first class service.   You will be able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines. You will have good IT skills and enjoy working as part of a team.
