Head Teacher

Permanent
Full Time
Stanstead Primary and Nursery School (Part of The Flying High Partnership), Stanstead Avenue, Rise Park, Nottingham, NG5 5BL
ISR Leadership 15- 21 (potential for further negotiation subject to experience)

Start Date: 1st April or 1st September, dependent on the availability of the successful candidate.
Do you want to be the Head Teacher at the heart of their community?
Will you embrace the significant support provided by Flying High Trust, and use this support to deliver your vision?
Are you determined to ensure every child reaches their full potential? If you answered yes to the above, we want to hear from you! Stanstead is looking to appoint a new Head Teacher with a clear vision to move the school forward. Stanstead is previously an Ofsted ‘good’ school, part of Flying High Trust since June 2017. The school has had some recent turbulence but, with the support of the Trust, we are looking for a new Head Teacher who will ensure that the school can move forward and fly. Stanstead is looking to appoint an ambitious and driven school leader, determined to put children first. Stanstead is at the heart of its community and by working together as a staff team, with parents and with the wider community, the school strives to ensure that every child reaches their full potential. The school is an inclusive and progressive school, with a staff team who are ready to embrace change and determined to meet needs of their children. At the heart of the vision for Stanstead are 7 key values: Responsibility, Confidence, Creativity, Perseverance, Pride, Enjoyment and Aspiration. We are looking for a new or experienced Head Teacher, ready to embrace this challenge, with the support available to enable you to deliver an exceptional school. As Head Teacher of Stanstead, you will be given the freedom to develop your own vision and ethos to meet the needs of your children and your community. We believe that no two schools within our Trust are the same and we actively encourage you to innovate and develop your own identity.
As a Trust we will support you to deliver your vision and with a sharp focus on school improvement, you will have the resources available to ensure that you can deliver rapid and sustained improvements. In the initial phase the school will be supported via a System Leader, who is the current acting Head Teacher at Stanstead. With a depth of understanding of the school and significant improvements already in place, she will guide the new Head Teacher enabling them to embed themselves in the role, develop their own vision for the school and make a rapid impact on school improvement. This capacity will ensure a smooth transition into the role for the new Head Teacher. As the school develops and you establish yourself in the role, this support will flex based on your needs. In addition, significant support is available in HR, Finance, Estates and Health and Safety, alongside access to significant Continuous Professional Learning for all staff. This ensures that the Head Teacher will have all the tools required to focus on delivering rapid school improvement.
Look forward with confidence!
We can offer you:

  2. Significant support via a System Leader, who is currently the acting Head Teacher at Stanstead.

  7. A supportive community.

  9. Support for those new to Headship, which includes the support of a System Leader, bespoke CPD and a Head Teacher buddy.
  10. Access to significant resource for school improvement, ensuring that Head Teachers are enabled to make a rapid impact on their school. This resource includes support and development through our central team, access to System Leaders, high quality CPD for all staff and support to recruit the very best team.
  11. Extensive financial, business, estates and HR support and systems, ensuring that you can focus on delivering inspirational teaching and learning.
