St. Peter’s C of E Primary & Nursery School, Mill Road, Gringley-on-the-Hill, Doncaster, Nottinghamshire, DN10 4QT
NJE Grade 1: Scale Point 6

Required for late February 2021.

The Governors wish to appoint a school cleaner with some caretaking responsibilities, who is proactive in their approach to site maintenance and proud of their working environment.

You will be required to maintain the premises and offer a range of caretaking, maintenance and janitorial duties for the benefit of the children, staff and parents.

The role requires that the successful applicant will be a key holder who is able to demonstrate a practical knowledge of DIY skills in order to maintain and improve the school to a high standard.

We value individual skills and qualities and someone who is flexible in their approach as we would want you to work positively with staff and pupils and to be a good team worker.

Previous experience of this type of work would be advantageous but ideally we are looking for someone with the drive and commitment to ensure a safe and well maintained environment for everyone within and visiting our school.

We offer candidates the chance to work in a friendly and supportive community. Our school is characterised by committed staff who work collectively on behalf of the children. Although the successful candidate will play a vital role as part of the team, this post is predominately one where you will be expected to work using your own initiative and you will be expected to program your daily routine to meet the needs of the school.

Due to current lockdown restrictions, we are unable to offer a tour of the school.

Please call the Office Manager, Ruth Howitt, on 01777 817330 or email: secretary@st-peterscofe.notts.sch.uk for an application pack and/or to arrange an appointment with Yvonne Reeson, Head teacher.

Closing date for applications: Friday 5th February 2021 at 12 pm

Interviews to be held via Zoom during the week beginning: Monday 8th February 2021.
