Brierley Forest Primary & Nursery School, Westbourne View, Sutton-in-Ashfield, Nottinghamshire, NG17 2HT
Grade 4 (£19,945 - £22,462 per annum, pro rata)

It is an exciting time at Brierley Forest Primary School as we enter the next stage of meeting the needs of our children.

Governors are looking to appoint a Grade 4 Teaching Assistant who will lead on the pastoral aspects of our school and support children, parents and staff as we work together to manage behaviour. An important part of this is teaching the children strategies that they can use to manage their own emotions and behaviour.

The role will include liaising with parents to ensure that they remain included and valued as we go on this journey of calm consistency together.

This is an opportunity for a teaching assistant who has previous experience of managing challenging behaviour in a positive and proactive way, where the child is firmly at the centre of any interventions and support. It is a role that will require resilience, grit and reflection, one where being part of a team is of the utmost importance.

There will be opportunities to cover classes and work with groups of children – both in the class and away from it.

Visits to the school are warmly welcomed, where you will have the opportunity to meet the SENDCO and some of the children, as well as hear our vision.

Please contact the school to confirm your attendance on one of the following visits:

Thursday 28th November at 2:00pm

Monday 2nd December at 11:00am

Wednesday 4th December at 1:30pm
