We wish to appoint a qualified, highly motivated, and experienced Early Years Specialist Teaching Assistant to work with children with severe and complex needs from birth to seven years in a variety of environments including homes, Early Years Settings and Mainstream Schools. You will provide advice, strategies, training and direct individual teaching to meet children’s needs.

We support children with a variety of complex SEND needs including Autism so knowledge and experience in these areas is essential, as is an ability to develop excellent working relationships with families and professionals alike. You should also have a sound working knowledge of the EYFS and experience with small steps teaching programmes and specialist assessments would be desirable but not essential.

Applicants should have a minimum of 3 years post qualification experience and at least 2 of these should be working with young children with SEND.

The post will be based in Daybrook, Nottingham supporting families in the Broxtowe/Rushcliffe areas. However, team members may also be required to work in other areas of the County in accordance with Service need.

The post is full-time 32.5hrs per week, you will also receive paid school holidays (same work pattern at Nottinghamshire Schools).

Please note this post requires a considerable amount of traveling throughout the day therefore a full driving license and daily use of a car is required. (Travelling expenses will be reimbursed at the appropriate rate). A taxi service will be provided where disability precludes this.
