We require a new enthusiastic team member to join us within the office support team at Carr Hill Primary & Nursery School. 

Core duties and responsibilities:

•    To provide a warm welcome for parents, visitors and colleagues and deal with their requests in an efficient and professional manner. 
•    To answer the telephone in a friendly, professional and efficient manner and record and pass on messages as appropriate.
•    To ensure visitors sign in and are provided with a visitor’s badge, ID/DBS is checked and safeguarding leaflets are issued.
•    To accurately maintain the shared calendar and update the school information.
•    To provide refreshments for visitors.
•    To assist the administration team in the provision of clerical and administrative duties, including maintaining children’s records on pupil files and Scholarpack, filing, word processing, reprographics, data input and ParentPay communication.
•    To assist in the arrangement of routine school activities including extra-curricular activities, school photographs, trips and parents’ evenings.
•    To use spreadsheets to record, monitor and produce reports.
•    To monitor and maintain accurate computer records of pupil attendance on Scholarpack and monitor and maintain late arrivals.
•    Contact parents/carers to establish the reasons for pupils’ absenteeism by telephone on their first day of absence.
•    To analyse and produce attendance reports, and collate file attendance data. Liaise with the Parent Link teacher, SBM and Headteacher regarding attendance records, bringing any attendance concerns to their attention promptly.
•    Managing pupil meals on ParentPay to ensure accurate billing.
•    Co-ordinate new starters/leavers paperwork, including liaising with the local authority and local schools. Ensuring all transition paperwork is completed in a timely manner.

We are looking for someone who:

•    Is able to work with high levels of integrity, discretion and confidentiality with a thorough understanding of Safeguarding and GDPR.
•    Can work independently and as part of a team.
•    Establishes good working relations at all levels of school.
•    Is pro-active and conscientious about enhancing the education of pupils and supporting and promoting our school.
•    Is highly organised and has excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
•    Is able to work with high levels of integrity, discretion and confidentiality with a thorough understanding of GDPR.
•    Has excellent organisation skills, the ability to multi task, prioritise effectively and work to tight deadlines.
•    Competent IT Skills including the use of Microsoft Office. 
•    Experience of working in a busy school office is desirable including the knowledge of or working on School MIS Systems.
