From September 2023 (or sooner if available) the Governors at the Mount Church of England Primary School are looking for an innovative, motivated, and experienced full time Classroom Teacher who wants to be part of a school with a Christian and inclusive ethos at its heart.

We are looking for an experienced KS1/EYFS teacher with excellent understanding of Early Years pedagogy.  This is great opportunity to work within a dedicated team to develop and promote an exciting learning environment for our KS1/EYFS children. We are looking for an experienced teacher with a proven track record of providing KS1/EYFS children with an outstanding educational offer who puts children and their interests at the heart of their practice.  You must have the ability to develop curiosity and inspire inquisitive minds with the capacity to embrace the unique child.

In order to fulfil this role our new teacher will:

•    Have a thorough knowledge of excellent teaching and learning in KS1/EYFS.
•    Value the importance of continuous provision and the integral part that plays in the early developmental stages of a child’s journey. 
•    Be able to demonstrate effective behavioural management using restorative practice.
•    Be totally committed to inclusive practice. 
•    Have high expectations of both achievement and behaviour.
•    Be a reflective teacher, who is constantly striving to develop further.
•    Have a sound understanding and experience of the teaching of reading and phonics.
•    Ability to work as part of a team and able to use their initiative.
•    Build positive relationships with children, staff and parents.
•    Be willing to take on subject responsibility.
