Ashfield Living Well is looking for an enthusiastic, highly motivated, qualified permanent Band A/B Social Worker to work in the Physical Disability Specialism within the team. The post is within an established, supportive, multi-disciplinary team which provides an assessment and care management service using a strength based person centred approaches. You will be trained as or expected to train as an AMPH or AMCP (BIA) and /or Practice Educator dependent on the needs of the service. If not already. 

You will make a real difference to the lives of adults with physical disabilities and their carers, there will also be a requirement at times to help support work within the other specialisms within the team Mental Health, Learning Disabilities and Asperger's. Support to develop skills in this area will be provided. You will be expected to manage both short term and a longer term complex caseload. You will be expected to undertake duty work and implementing departmental policies and new ways of working. You will need to undertake Section 42 Safeguarding Enquires or support other staff in this work.

You will be committed to strength-based approaches, personalisation agenda and person cantered working at all times. Experience of Multi Agency working is desirable 

It is desirable that you have experience of working with adults with Physical Disabilities. You will have a good working knowledge of the relevant legislative framework that informs our work. You will also need a good knowledge of the Care Act and an understanding of Safeguarding Vulnerable Adults and making Safeguarding Personal. Effective communication, flexibility and IT skills are essential. You will be supported to undertake your ASYE year within the team.
