Nottinghamshire Youth Justice Service are recruiting a Case Manager to the North Team, primarily covering the Newark & Sherwood and Bassetlaw areas although there is an expectation to travel across Nottinghamshire County. 

This is an exciting opportunity to work with children and young people on both a voluntary and statutory basis, contributing towards the work of the service in helping to reduce problems of anti-social behaviour and contributing towards the Youth Justice Service’s aim of reducing the number of young people entering the criminal justice system.

You will be enthusiastic, dedicated and committed to achieving real change in people’s lives. Strong interpersonal skills, coupled with child-centred values are essential to the role. In addition, excellent skills in relation to working with young people and families, knowledge and understanding of criminal justice and proven experience of working to address risks and needs within the family setting are required. 

Core elements of the role will include: 

  • Planning and delivering intervention to children and young people, either one to one or as part of a group.
  • Gathering, evaluating and assessing information for use in the preparation of structured assessments and reports.
  • Working independently, being able to prioritise work and meet set deadlines. 
  • Working in close liaison with colleagues from other agencies to improve outcomes for children and young people.
