Ash Lea School governors are looking to recruit a dynamic and enthusiastic individual with a commitment to delivering a high standard of teaching support as part of a caring and child focused class team. 

Ash Lea is a special school for children from 3-18 years old with severe and complex educational needs and now located in our new permanent building in Cotgrave. 

The successful candidates will need to be working toward or have achieved an NVQ level 3 for Teaching Assistants or equivalent, have knowledge of how children learn, early learning strategies, child protection, child development and the SEN code of practice. Experience of working within a special educational setting is desirable and training in First Aid, MAPA and Moving and Handling would be advantageous. The ability to work under pressure, while meeting the ever changing needs of the school environment, is essential. You will need to be proactive and work on your own initiative whilst being part of a wider team. 

Part-Time 19.5 hours per week. Working hours are Monday – Wednesday 8.45am to 3.45pm with 30 minutes for lunch.
