We are looking for a qualified Occupational Therapist (OT) with minimum of 2 years’ experience at Band B or equivalent to join our recently formed Living Well Broxtowe Community team. The team works across the Broxtowe district with adults with mental health issues, physical and learning disabilities, and autistic spectrum disorder. A good working knowledge of Disabled facilities Grants for major adaptation work as well as standard and specialist equipment is needed.

As clinical lead for OTs and unqualified CCO OTs within the team you will provide Clinical supervision and ensure professional standards are maintained. You will support the OTs with continued professional development, including ASYE and progression from Band A to B.

Alongside this you will carry a small caseload of complex cases. This will include managing safeguarding enquiries where OT expertise is relevant.

You will work with the other SPOTs and Principle OT across the BGR locality and countywide, to develop working practices between OT and social care staff, and to embed the specialism within the new teams, supporting the team managers to ensure service delivery. You will look outside of the team to develop links with local community health professionals, housing and other local services.

This is a great opportunity to join the service at a time of change and to contribute to the promotion of the OT role within the new locality-based structure.

Appointment to this post is subject to an enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service check.

Disabled applicants who meet the essential shortlisting requirements will be guaranteed an interview. A job share scheme is available for all full time posts: both permanent and temporary, unless otherwise stated.
