The Notts Outdoors Team provides access to high quality, safe and enjoyable positive activities for children and young people throughout Nottinghamshire.

Ideally, we are looking for someone with a good understanding of the Duke of Edinburgh scheme and other awards for young people although this is not essential as training can be provided as required. Experience of handling inquiries from staff, volunteers and members of the public is however a must. You will need to be enthusiastic, have strong administrative and computer skills with a good working knowledge of a range of software platforms including MS excel, word and teams. With a dynamic approach to work and eager to learn, you will need initiative and a strong ability to work with data and procedures on a regular basis.

You will be involved in providing advice, support and guidance on awards for young people to staff, volunteers, families and young people acting as a technical specialist under the guidance of the Awards Team manager.

The post will also require providing technical support to schools and other groups using online visit management software. You will need to be highly organised, comfortable working with online software programs and maintaining and monitoring a range of recording systems.

Maintaining a professional approach to work will be a key requirement at all times to ensure the confidentiality, integrity & availability of all data.

To arrange an informal chat about the post, please contact Peter Gurney via email peter.gurney@nottscc.gov.uk

Appointment to this post is subject to an enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service check.

Disabled applicants who meet the essential shortlisting requirements will be guaranteed an interview. A job share scheme is available for all full time posts: both permanent and temporary, unless otherwise stated. We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults and we expect all staff to share this commitment and undergo appropriate checks.
