£7.97 - £8.55 per hour: A Living Wage Allowance is payable on all hours worked to bring the pay rate for this post up to a minimum of £8.45 per hour, the maximum rate of pay is £8.55 per hour.

The Catering & Facilities Management Service in conjunction with the Academy’s Governing Body are looking to employ a Cleaner in Charge at the Parkgate Academy Site (Formally Ollerton Primary School) which is situated in the heart of New Ollerton.

This post is intended to further enhance the provision of standards across the site with immediate effect. You will be required to work between the hours of 6am – 7am Monday to Friday, 5.30pm -6.30pm Monday to Thursday and 4.30pm – 6.30pm on Friday with the proviso that these times may vary to accommodate site business throughout the year.

We are looking for someone who enjoys working in a community environment. You will be responsible for a team of cleaning staff on site and should therefore be able to communicate at all levels. Experience is desirable but not essential as training will be given. Duties will include the opening and locking of the site with the possibility of some cleaning at some stage which may include vacuuming, washroom cleaning, sweeping, mopping, dusting, wash of furniture and window cleaning (occasional use of electrical clean machinery i.e. buffing machine and wet pick up’s).

You will play a vital role as part of a small team of cleaning staff. This post is predominately one where you will be expected to work using your own initiative and you will be expected to program your daily routine to meet the needs of the site. You will be responsible for securing the building at the end of each day which will involve the setting of an intruder alarm system and undertaking statutory compliance checks such as legionella flushing and Fire Point Testing etc. Protective clothing and other PPE will be provided as required.
