The Pensions Office is responsible for providing a full Pension Scheme benefits administration service for members, beneficiaries, deferred members and pensioners of the Nottinghamshire Local Government Pension Scheme. This is a statutory scheme which covers employees within the Local Government Pension Scheme across the County (over 300 Scheme Employers).

This position is within the Business Support Centre Pensions Administration Team and is based at Trent Bridge House.

The role of a Level 2 Pensions Administration Assistant is to provide guidance and information on Pensions Administration matters and to undertake level 2 Pensions administration tasks. This would include the creation and maintenance of Pensions records, the calculation and notification of deferred pension benefits and the payment of refunds and transfers to other Local Government Pension Funds. There would also be involvement in other work areas undertaken by the office as a whole.

The role also involves understanding and applying the relevant Local Government Pension Scheme and associated regulations at this level. Experience of working within a pensions or payroll administration environment would be an advantage.

Disabled applicants who meet the essential shortlisting requirements will be guaranteed an interview. A job share scheme is available for all full-time posts: both permanent and temporary, unless otherwise stated. We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults and we expect all staff to share this commitment and undergo appropriate checks.
