We are looking for two Community Care Officers to join the Adult Access Service.

Nottinghamshire County Council is managing demand for Adult Social Care at a time of unprecedented financial pressures, demographic change and significant new legislation.

The Adult Access Service is at the forefront of Adult Social Care Health & Public Protection and our role is significant in resolving enquiries for the people of Nottinghamshire in relation to Social Care, OT, Benefits and Carers. We work closely with our MASH colleagues in the same building, Customer Service Centre staff based at Mercury House, colleagues in district and specialist teams, Health staff and the voluntary sector

You would be joining a dedicated group of individuals with a vast amount of knowledge, experience and a variety of qualifications.

You would be providing advice, information, resolving contacts and updates thus reducing the need for extensive community care assessments, scheduling, completing assessments, reviews and minor amendment to packages.

We are office based and the work is completed over the telephone. You would require good communication and strong IT skills. We will offer you regular supervision, support and the opportunity for training and personal development.

If you want to discuss the post which is part of the future developments looking at the way ASCHH&PP support vulnerable adults, their carers and families in Nottinghamshire please contact the Adult Access Service on 0115 8042580 and ask for Denise Dopson, Debbie St Denis, Moira Fitzsimmons-Holling or Ian Ward

Appointment to this post is subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service check.

Disabled applicants who meet the essential shortlisting requirements will be guaranteed an interview. A job share scheme is available for all full-time posts: both permanent and temporary, unless otherwise stated. We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults and we expect all staff to share this commitment and undergo appropriate checks.

Nottinghamshire County Council strives to ensure that it goes beyond the requirements of the Equalities Act and prides itself on being accredited as a Disability Confident Leader Organisation.

Therefore, the County Council encourages applications from all, irrespective of gender, marital status, disability, race, religion, belief, pregnancy and maternity status, age or sexual orientation.
