You will have an opportunity to work at the state of the Art Mansfield Bus Station as a Supply Customer Service Operative. You will be working as part of a Facilities Team who will be looking after the Bus Station Site and supporting members of the public (bus station users) and bus operators on a daily basis. Duties will include the security of the building (alarms and key holding) ,cleaning and caretaking related work and communicating with members of the public/ bus operators in order to share information and assist bus station users in their travel requirements. The bus station will be open between 5.25am and 10 past midnight (Monday to Saturday) and 7.50am and 11.10pm Sunday including most bank holidays. When fully staffed your working pattern will be 6am – 9.30am and 1.30pm – 4pm. However, When there is a requirement to cover absence your shift pattern would be Shift 1: 0510hrs – 1440hrs and Shift 2: 1435hrs – 0010hrs.

You will be working to cover absence of staff across these hours on a shift system to ensure required staffing levels are achieved. Due to the nature of the cover required at the bus station shifts may be allocated at short notice. These shifts will be based upon a 32.5 hour average working week over the 8 week period. Successful applicants will have demonstrated high levels of customer care as daily communication with members of the public and bus operators is a vital part of this post. In addition, experience of working within the area of Site Management and Security is also important. Previous experience of working at bus Depots are within the area of transportation is also desirable. There may also be a requirement to cover schools and other County Buildings from time to time on an adhoc basis.
