Holles Street Short Breaks Centre is a respite care home for under 65's with a learning disability who may also have additional physical and complex needs.  There has become available an opportunity for someone to take up 7 hours per week, working on Friday, within the Business Support Service in this area. The post involves being the first point of contact for service users and their families and other visitors through reception duties, dealing with bookings and the resultant admissions and discharge paperwork, dealing with petty cash, monthly budget work, responsibility for payroll and minuting of meetings along with other more generic Business Support tasks.  This is an exciting opportunity for anyone looking to work within an environment that calls for contact with people and excellent customer focus and care. You will receive full support and training, however a knowledge of the following would be useful:

  • A commitment to excellent customer care
  • A good working knowledge of MS Office applications as well as bespoke databases
  • An awareness of Data Protection issues and experience of working in a confidential environment
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise your workload
  • The ability to work on your own initiative
  • The ability to monitor and maintain a healthy, safe and secure workplace.
