An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Team Manager with the Gedling Living Well Team in South Nottinghamshire. You will join a well-established friendly management and community team who are primarily working from home currently due to Covid-19 restrictions.

It is essential that the post holder has a Social Work or Occupational Therapy qualification, preferably with experience of supervising staff or students.

The Living Well service operates in a multi-specialist way and will offer support for those people who have mental health issues, LD, ASD, require Occupational Therapy intervention and physical disabilities. We also undertake carers and young carers reviews. As you can imagine, the role is an exciting challenge but so very rewarding for the right person.

The role will be fast paced and varied covering areas such as:

  • Safeguarding and authorising DoLS
  • Quality assurance of Assessments and Support Plans
  • Embedding new and different practices to support the Adult Social Care Strategy
  • Managing Social Care Staff including Social workers, Occupational Therapists and Community Care Officers

The Living Well Team work in a Strength based way and focus on what people can do rather than what they can't. We work to ensure that people can access reablement, rehabilitation and other preventative services before requiring a longer-term package of care.

The post holder will support the Group Manager and others in the management team in owning and driving performance whilst carrying out our Statutory Duties.

Being part of the Living Well Vision of service delivery, you will require flexibility and contribute to positive ways of supporting people to live as independently in the community.

Providing urgent business continuity and experience of budget monitoring is preferable, but not essential as support and training will be given.

If you are a dynamic, inspiring and flexible leader then this could be the role for you. The role will utilise your strong leadership skills and we will count on your ability to work under pressure and to deadlines.

For further information about the post, please contact Maria Ballantyne Group Manager on 0115 804 0539 or email maria.ballantyne@nottscc.gov.uk.

Appointment to this post is subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service check.

Disabled applicants who meet the essential shortlisting requirements will be guaranteed an interview. A job share scheme is available for all full-time posts: both permanent and temporary, unless otherwise stated. We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults and we expect all staff to share this commitment and undergo appropriate checks.
