If so, then we want to hear from you! Pinxton Village Academies are looking to appoint a Class Teacher to provide high quality, supportive, engaging, teaching for the pupils in our school. You would be joining an exceptional and supportive team of professionals, who are relentless in our pursuit of excellence and our mission to make every day count for the children. Pinxton Village Academies is the shared name for Longwood Infant Academy, John King Infant Academy and Kirkstead Junior Academy. We have a unique structure as we are led collectively by one Senior Leadership Team and have one Governing Board who support us in delivering a warm welcoming atmosphere where all are nurtured and cared for. In 2018, our schools formally joined the Flying High Trust and now work collaboratively with our Trust colleagues to achieve our shared aim of being the best schools in the universe! We feel very strongly that school is a partnership between children, parents, staff and governors and that by working together we can motivate children to succeed in all areas of their development. Therefore, our school motto captures this aspiration: Stronger Together.

Pinxton Village Academies, is part of The Flying High Partnership which consists of two distinct parts: Flying High Trust and Flying High Futures. Flying High Trust is a Multi Academy Trust of 30 primary schools across Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire and Nottingham City. Our Flying High family work hard to deliver the best possible opportunities to our children. Through this partnership we are proud of our achievements and are recognised as one of the highest performing Multi Academy Trusts (MAT) in the country. Flying High Futures provides professional learning internally for staff across the Trust, and externally through Department for Education national programmes. Forming part of Flying High Futures is the Flying High Teaching School Hub, Flying High English Hub, and the Flying High cohort of Inspiring Leaders teacher training.

Your core duties will be:
• Teaching across Pinxton Village Academies
• Ensure high quality teaching and learning promotes great progress for all
• Good classroom practitioner with high expectations
• Able to maintain positive behaviour through positive strategies
• Approachable, enthusiastic and positive
• Able to communicate well and form positive relationships at all levels

Pinxton is just off Junction 28, M1, 14 miles from Nottingham, 7 miles from Mansfield, 17 Miles from Derby and within commuting distance of Sheffield, Derby, Chesterfield & Doncaster.
