We want you to help us to make a difference to the lives of young people in trouble. We believe everyone can achieve positive change and we need positive thinkers to create a ‘centre of excellence’ for young people in custody.

Clayfields House provides an intensive service to young people who are vulnerable, at risk to themselves or others, and/or placed in secure accommodation due to offending behaviour. We work with males and females aged between 10 and 18 so, we need to recruit staff who want the rich rewards of working with some of the most demanding but rewarding young people in the UK but at the same time have the emotional resilience. 

Situated in Stapleford Nottinghamshire, just a few miles from the M1 we are easy to reach.

Salary as above plus enhancements for evening and weekend working (on average this can be around £4,000)

  • We are looking for an experienced Residential Child Care Social Worker with 3 years’ experience who has worked with challenging young people and wants to develop good management skills. You will hold a Diploma or NVQ Level 3 in CCYP or an equivalent qualification.
  • You will support us by managing and motivating a team of night care staff by delivering high quality supervision and ongoing support and training.
  • With the ability to manage a variable work load, you will have a personal commitment to the welfare of young people in crisis and the skills to assist them in planning their future lives.

This role involves working on a shift basis and covers bank holidays and weekends.
