The Governors and Head teacher of St. Peter’s C of E Primary School are looking to appoint a happy, caring, highly motivated Level 3 Early Years Practitioner to join a committed team from Monday 1st September 2018 until Wednesday 24th July 2019. This position is initially temporary for one year.

The post is part-time: 23 and ¾ hours per week in total. 5 days per week, 4 and ¾ hours per day: 8:15 am ‘til 1:00 pm.

We are a popular, ‘good’ village school and our last SIAMS inspection rated us ‘outstanding’. We have great children, talented and enthusiastic staff and keen and supportive parents and governors.

We are looking for someone who:

  • can form positive relationships with all members of the school community
  • has had recent experience in an EYFS or nursery setting
  • is passionate about supporting a positive learning environment which focuses on promoting a growth-mindset, enabling pupils to be the very best that they can be - socially, emotionally, academically, morally and spiritually.
  • has very high expectations for all children’s achievement and behaviour
  • is able to enthuse and motivate all learners through learning that is fun, exciting and enjoyable
  • is understanding of the needs of pupils with Special Educational Needs
  • has excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • enjoys being part of an extremely hard working team
  • demonstrates initiative, enthusiasm, a good sense of humour and a positive attitude
