This post has been identified as being suitable for Nottinghamshire County Council’s Apprenticeship Scheme.

In order to apply for this post you must be willing to undertake training against an appropriate Apprenticeship Standard that will be delivered by an approved training provider.

Apprenticeships are open to all ages and abilities and are designed to encourage people who may not have the necessary experience or qualifications to access employment.

The position is open to an Individual who is looking to take their first steps onto the Debt Recovery Career path.

You will be joining a dynamic team, to assist in chasing overdue debt, from a variety of Individuals, Companies, and Organisations. You will be responsible for helping to resolve customer queries, working with Internal Customers, whilst maintaining positive sustained relationships, within a fast paced, and varied role.

To succeed in the role you will have an enthusiastic "can do " attitude and whilst taking a proactive approach to your own work, you will be a real team player. Good communication skills will be key, as the role requires negotiation, in order to obtain payment, and to answer queries.

Ongoing training will be provided in order to provide you with the core knowledge, regulations, skills and behaviours in order to flourish within the Debt Recovery team.

Disabled applicants who meet the essential shortlisting requirements will be guaranteed an interview. A job share scheme is available for all full-time posts: both permanent and temporary, unless otherwise stated. We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults and we expect all staff to share this commitment and undergo appropriate checks.

Nottinghamshire County Council strives to ensure that it goes beyond the requirements of the Equalities Act and prides itself on being accredited as a Disability Confident Leader Organisation.

Therefore, the County Council encourages applications from all, irrespective of gender, marital status, disability, race, religion, belief, pregnancy and maternity status, age or sexual orientation.
