Main Pay Scale, Possible TLR 2B (£4309) for Head of Year responsibilities

Required from September 2019

Help us make learning central to every child’s life.

At the Academy Transformation Trust, we believe that every child matters and deserves a first class education. Operating across the Midlands, the East of England and the South East, we make sure that students leave our academies with everything they need to reach their full potential.

Sutton Community Academy is one of the jewels in our crown; a school that’s been deemed Outstanding for leadership and pupil welfare and awarded Sports Leader Academy status. Whether it’s encouraging pupils to take part in mock legal proceedings or release their inner entrepreneur via investment challenges, this is a school where innovation takes center stage. We know it’s going to be your kind of place.

We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and inspirational Teacher of Design & Technology (Engineering). The ideal candidate will be an ambitious and motivational professional with experience of teaching Design Technology across all resistant materials and 2D design; we are looking for someone who is able to successfully balance theoretical and practical knowledge. Experience in BTEC Engineering or an Engineering degree would be advantageous.

You will be joining a dynamic and exciting Design & Technology team, creating a culture of outstanding success amongst our students; you will have the opportunity to re-develop the faculty across all areas of your specialism. With the likelihood of teaching outside of your subject area a second subject knowledge would be advantageous.

For the right candidate, there may also be an opportunity for a Head of Year TLR position. If you are interested in this additional role, please outline on your application.

Applications from NQTs are welcomed.

If you have what it takes, you can join an experienced, innovative team with incredible potential – and look forward to a future that could take you anywhere within the Trust’s 24 schools.

Along the way, you’ll play an important part in taking us from Good to Outstanding, and we can promise it’ll be an exciting and rewarding journey.
