An opportunity has arisen within the Physical Disability Team covering the South of Nottinghamshire for a full-time Advanced Social Work Practitioner. Currently based at the Home Brewery Building in Arnold, the Physical Disability Team provides support to young adults to maximise their independence and well-being.

We are looking for a Social Worker, with at least two year experience at a Band B level, with knowledge of safeguarding practice, Mental Capacity, and complex case work, to undertake this important leadership position. In this role you will supervise a small number of staff and take the lead on practice issues and oversee the day to day operation of the team with senior colleagues. Supervisory or mentoring experience would be an advantage as you will work with the managers and other senior staff to support the team through periods of change. Your ability to communicate with colleagues and other stakeholders to support development and maintain good practice will also be essential. As an Advanced Social Work Practitioner you will hold a small case load of complex cases and your ability to be creative and forward thinking will provide a positive example to colleagues.

In return for your commitment we are able to provide a supportive team environment with opportunities to develop your skills and experience. You will receive regular supervision, both formally and informally, and be able to attend training to increase your knowledge and skills. You will need to hold a driving licence and have the regular use of a vehicle for this post.
