Minster View is a Children’s home providing residential placements for children and who have significant learning disabilities and behaviours that may challenge.

We are looking for inspirational individuals who have the right skills and knowledge to work with our most vulnerable children, meeting their physical, emotional and health care needs.

Do you have recent experience of working with children within a residential setting or in a similar role?

We are open all year round, so are you prepared to work shifts over 7 days a week including bank holidays? Our early shift starts at 7am until 3pm and the late shifts are 2pm until 10pm. You will also have rota’d sleep ins and night awake duties (9.45pm – 7am)

As an RSCW at Minster View you will be leading a team of up to 8 staff, to provide direct personal and emotional care of the children, along with engagement and play experiences. You will be expected to support and guide your team of RSCWs and RCWs to manage any behaviours that challenge, to support the child. You will take an active role in recording and reporting in their day to day lives and development. In addition to this, you will act as a mentor and leader for those on shift and make plans that promote the children’s wishes and feelings, while balancing risk to ensure their safety and wellbeing at all times. As an RSCW you will also be a keyworker for a specific child.
