Full Time (Flexible Working Patterns Considered)

This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic, dynamic, inspirational and highly motivated professional to join our successful school. This role has been created to support the delivery of highly effective progression in literacy and numeracy from KS2 to KS3. Working within our SEND department, the successful candidate will bring knowledge of Key Stage 2 and support in delivering Key Stage 3 lessons to ensure maximum student progress.

Support will be provided for this transition from primary to secondary (if required) and further development will be given to the successful candidate to enhance their skillset to include teaching up to Key Stage 4 with a focus on SEND and lower ability students.

We require confident people who can relate well to students and are committed to supporting teaching and learning. Previous classroom experience is preferred but not essential.

This post could suit a range of applicants from a graduate considering moving on to their PGCE or a former teacher considering a return to the profession. Primary colleagues who are looking to move into a secondary school setting are also encouraged to apply. Applications are also invited from candidates who feel they could fulfil this role on an unqualified basis due to relevant experience.

The post will initially be recruited for a fixed term of one year. The successful candidate will have:

  • Excellent literacy and numeracy skills.
  • Motivation and flexibility to work across departments and have a real passion for working with young adults at secondary school age.
  • Behaviour Management skills and experience in SEN
  • Effective organisation and communication skills.
  • Will have good communication skills with the ability to work on your own initiative, but also be able to work flexibly as part of a team.
  • The ability to act as a positive role model and set high standards.

We are able to offer staff a supportive environment with continuous professional development and excellent facilities. If you have the vision and drive for excellence and want to join an independent academy where relationships for learning are fundamental to our continued success we would be delighted to hear from you.
