We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual who is committed to a career in nature conservation for a ten-month placement, starting in summer 2024. Working with the Biodiversity Officer, you will be supporting the work of the Biodiversity Action Group. The role offers an exciting opportunity to gain experience in a wide range of programmes and projects, from updating the Habitat and Species Action Plans for Nottinghamshire to improving social media capability and updating websites, and from Invasive Non-native Species work to supporting the delivery of Trees for Climate.

The internship is open to anyone who is studying for a biodiversity-related degree, including both students who will graduate in 2024 and those on courses with a placement year, at a Nottinghamshire-based University, or who is normally resident in Nottinghamshire but studying outside the county.

You must have a keen interest in wildlife, be happy working from home and in an office environment and have a willingness to work some anti-social hours.
