£14,975 - £16,191 pro rata (£7.76 - £8.39 per hour): A Living Wage Allowance is payable on all hours worked to bring the pay rate for this post up to £8.45 per hour.

You will be required to clean and maintain the building and offer a range of caretaking services for the benefit of pupils, parents and staff. 

St Peter’s Primary School has a caring family atmosphere where children, staff, parents and governors work together to ensure that our school continues to develop and improve, offering each child the opportunity to achieve their best in all areas of learning and education. You will be a very important member of the school team. We currently have 192 pupils on roll. 

Working a split shift, you will be a key holder with responsibility for opening and closing the school and will be expected to deliver a full range of caretaking, maintenance, janitorial and cleaning duties. You should have a keen eye for detail and be able to demonstrate a practical knowledge of DIY skills. 

You will need to be smart in appearance, wearing a provided uniform and need to be flexible in your approach to lettings, for which additional payments will be made. We would want you to work positively with staff and parents and be a good team worker. 

Previous experience of this type of work would be advantageous but ideally we are looking for someone with interest and a high degree of commitment to ensure a safe and healthy environment for staff, children and visitors to the school.
