This post provides an exciting opportunity for an experienced headteacher or a deputy with experience in large primary schools.

Brierley Forest is moving into a brand new building in September and work on the project is already progressing well and completion in the summer is enthusiastically anticipated by the whole school community.

The new headteacher will be able to help plan the use and resourcing of Nottinghamshire’s newest primary school prior to taking up the post.

Brierley Forest is one of the County’s larger primary schools and the Governors are keen to agree an appropriate salary with the successful candidate to reflect the challenge in this leadership role.

The school had a good inspection in 2014 and the Governors are fully aware of the level of support and challenge that they and the staff will provide to maintain that judgment at the school’s next inspection.

Brierley Forest is a busy and active school with a strong background of success in PE and sport and the new Headteacher will have the opportunity and support to develop this success into other areas and make use of the enhanced facilities offered by the new building.

If you are keen on the idea of grasping this opportunity and having the chance to build a school for the future please come and visit and see for yourself if this could be your dream job. (You might need to bring wellies!)
