Muskham Primary School are looking to appoint a new site manager who will work 37 hours per week;  Monday to Friday on a split shift basis (Times to be negotiated)

We are looking to appoint a Site Manager to oversee maintenance and cleaning across our site. The successful candidate will be responsible for obtaining quotes, planning and supervising maintenance and repairs, as well as ensuring compliance with Health & Safety regulations. In addition you will work with the Headteacher and School Business Manager to develop longer term maintenance plans and budgets. 

On a day to day basis, you will undertake cleaning, maintenance and repair works, as well as routine checks of the site and building. As the main keyholder, you will also take responsibility for security and will be first contact for alarm activations.

The successful candidate will need practical knowledge and experience of maintenance and janitorial work, including weekly boiler maintenance. You should be able to demonstrate a practical knowledge of DIY skills such as:
•  Painting and decorating; fixing or assembling flat pack furniture
•  Minor repairs such as rehanging or adjusting doors, and fitting door furniture and locks
•  Minor plumbing repairs, and tasks such as unblocking toilets, sinks and drains.
•  Hanging shelves, replacing light bulbs etc

You should be a confident communicator who takes pride in delivering excellent standards of service in your work. Yours will be a busy role, so you will need proven ability to manage your own workload and use your initiative when needed. A good standard of numeracy and literacy are essential and you should have some experience of using email and IT effectively in your work.
