Teaching Assistant

Westdale Junior School is seeking to appoint a warm, caring, suitably qualified/experienced teaching assistant who will help to make our learning activities engaging and fun whilst ensuring pupil progress through setting clear targets and building on prior attainment. Applications are invited from suitably qualified/experienced teaching assistants who would like to be part of a hardworking, talented and friendly team.

The successful candidate will work to support teaching and learning:

• In the classroom
• With small groups
• On a 1:1 basis with individual SEND pupils

Westdale successfully received a ‘good’ Ofsted grading in November 2016. We are incredibly proud to be part of the Nova Education Trust (NET) and are committed to providing high quality education for all our pupils whilst supporting our families on their children’s learning journeys.

Our school currently has 232 children on role aged 7 – 11. There is a strong commitment to team working and our staff work hard to plan exciting and creative learning experiences that develop key skills and inspire in our pupils a real love of learning.
