Site Manager
Nottinghamshire County Council Building Cleaning Service in conjunction with Wynndale Primary School, require a Site Manager to work at Wynndale Primary School to start as soon as possible.
Wynndale is on an exciting journey of continued improvement, with the aim of becoming the very best it can be. You will be working as part of the whole school team to provide maintenance, site management & cleaning duties to the school site, which includes some duties in the privately run Children’s Centre on our site.
The job will involve working a split shift you will be site key holder and will be expected to deliver the full range of site management, maintenance, janitorial and cleaning duties. The site manager is also be responsible for opening and securing the site each day. On occasions there may be a need to be flexible in your approach to working hours due to lettings outside or normal working hours. You should have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar type of role, with experience in building cleaning, the use of electrical cleaning equipment desirable. You should be able to demonstrate a practical knowledge of DIY skills, such as:
Painting and decorating, Fixing or assembling flat pack furniture
Minor repairs such as rehang or adjust doors and fit door furniture and locks
Install curtain rails, hang curtains and blinds
Unblock toilet, sinks and drains, minor pluming repairs
Hang shelves, pictures etc, replace light bulbs.
All part of having a proactive approach resolving minor repairs to avoid larger jobs at a later date.
You will be working between the hours of 6am - 6pm with occasional later finishing times due to school activities or meetings.
Visits to the school are encouraged prior to applications however, if you are unable to visit before applying, a formal walk of the school will be arranged prior to the interviews.
