The HR Service of Nottinghamshire County Council has exciting temporary opportunity to develop your knowledge, confidence and experience in a range of HR related activities working with corporate managers and head teachers / governing bodies of schools. 

You will have at least 3 years’ broad range of experience in providing quality HR support, specialist advice and guidance within a large unionised organisation, preferably in local government/the public sector and or with schools. . The ability to present reasoned arguments in relation to complex casework or organisational change matters is essential, as is experience of working positively and constructively with the recognised trade unions. You will be required to support with the review, development and implementation of HR strategy and policy including workforce planning and effectively deliver training.

You should be MCIPD qualified or working towards that qualification, with a good working knowledge of employment law and the ability to develop and maintain effective professional relationships with customers and stakeholders, including schools. You will need to demonstrate a flexible approach to your role and be resilient, adaptable and responsive to change.
