This is an exciting opportunity to join Nottinghamshire County Council’s Adult Multi Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH).

As a valued member of this fast-paced team, you will be supporting adults aged 18+ with care and support needs who are at risk of abuse and/or neglect. Skilled at identifying and managing risk effectively, including through completion of safeguarding enquiries where necessary, you will work with colleagues and partner agencies to ensure the safety and wellbeing of adults at risk living in Nottinghamshire. You will be passionate about promoting positive outcomes for individuals and concerned with ‘Making Safeguarding Personal’ for those people you work with. You will have a good understanding of relevant statute law, including, but not limited to, the Care Act 2014, the Mental Capacity Act 2005, and the Mental Health Act 1983.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Hold a current social work registration with Social Work England.
  • Have experience and knowledge of working within adult safeguarding as well as ‘Making Safeguarding Personal’.
  • Be able to work autonomously but also collaboratively with colleagues and partner agencies.
  • An awareness of the Council’s and Department’s strategic priorities as well as understanding of relevant national policy and legislation underpinning today’s social work practice.
  • Have experience of risk management, complex case work and multi–disciplinary working.
  • Have effective communication, organisational and IT skills.
