Fair Access Practitioner
Are you looking for a role where you are a champion for the educational attainment of vulnerable children?
Are you committed to working in partnership with young people, their parents and carers and services around them to make this can happen?
Ensuring access to appropriate education for vulnerable children, you will be part of a team receiving referrals and taking timely action to ensure progress. Working collaboratively with key stakeholders you will support the allocation of school places through the Fair Access Protocol and identification of alternative education pathways.
With a particular focus on Pupils Missing Education you will hold specific responsibility for liaising with schools regarding pupils accessing inappropriate part time provision and monitoring progress towards agreed outcomes. The role will require you to use your initiative and have an ability to manage your own workload effectively to meet deadlines and service priorities.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential in this role, as is the ability to interpret data and work as part of team to achieve common goals.
The post will be based at County Hall with flexibility to touch down at other County Council bases across Nottinghamshire as required and to work from home where appropriate.
