This is an exciting opportunity to join an enthusiastic, child centred and nurturing group of professionals as Westdale Infants extends its age range to incorporate 3 and 4 year in our F1 classroom.

The successful candidate would initially be working in the F1 classroom with our ‘Little Stars’ children, therefore experience of early years practise is essential.  The post is to work two longer days as the successful candidate will also work with the ‘Little Stars’ children in our wraparound provision.  This would involve welcoming them into school, providing breakfast, and then working with our children during the school day.  You would then finish at 5.30pm after working in our after school wraparound care. 

The successful candidate will have:
•    A proven record of working with early years
•    A professional and nurturing approach
•    The ability to use their own initiative
•    The skills to work as a team  with colleagues and families 
•    Good knowledge of how early years children learn
•    Enthusiasm and an all important sense of humour! 
•    A love of children and learning
•    An excellent understanding of Development Matters to support and enable teaching and learning
