The County Council’s Registration and Celebratory Services aim to deliver the best possible service for customers registering life’s most significant moments, such as births, deaths, citizenship, civil partnerships and marriages. We also offer an increasing range of non-statutory celebratory ceremonies. Working within a team based at County Hall, West Bridgford, you will play a key part in this process, undertaking a wide variety of exciting, interesting and challenging duties to support the service throughout Nottinghamshire County.

You will undertake a wide variety of administrative duties including providing support to managers and officers, drafting documents, data processing, maintaining databases, spread sheets, dealing with telephone calls, booking Citizenship ceremonies and correspondence from other staff and service providers, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality at all times.

The Registration office is a busy environment which requires you to work both productively with colleagues and on your own initiative.   You will need to be self-motivated with a flexible and adaptable manner and be able to manage conflicting demands. Communication and organisational skills will be key to your success in this role.

You will be required to have experience of using computer packages including Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint and have a thorough knowledge of administrative and office procedures.
