An exciting new team is being established to undertake reviews of people known to our social care services, to identify support plans that maximise the potential for improved independence. The team will focus on Younger Adults from all service user groups.

This team is part of a new approach that the council is undertaking to offer a range of bespoke reviewing activity linking into the newly established Notts Enabling Service, to explore alternatives to traditional service offers. Essential to success of this approach is establishing occupational therapy as a preventative intervention that promotes independence and self-care.

The team will consist of X2 Occupational therapists and a Physiotherapist (seconded from Health) and 10 Community Care Officers, who will be locality patched across the county, delivering alternative solutions to traditional approaches to support.

An ability to support the development of innovative solutions to the provision of services will be vital, alongside an ability to encourage and enable your team colleagues to work in this “new” way.

You will be a qualified occupational therapist with a particular interest in supporting people to maximise their confidence and skills to live as independently as possible.

This is a temporary post offered until March 2020 and you may be required to undertake 7 day working as part of their role.
