Brierley Forest Primary & Nursery School, Westbourne View, Sutton-in-Ashfield, Nottinghamshire NG17 2HT
Main Pay Range - UPS

Start 1st September 2020

At Brierley Forest Primary and Nursery School, we pride ourselves on being a happy, collaborative and resilient team. Our children enjoy being at our school; they feel safe and supported in their learning. The Governors are looking to appoint a confident, aspiring and imaginative classroom teacher to work within either Key Stage 1 or Key Stage 2. We are looking for someone who is energetic and has a proven ability to manage behaviour effectively, which might be sometimes challenging. You will have an understanding of the need to make rapid and sustained improvements, which our children deserve.

Brierley Forest Primary and Nursery School is a new building (2016) surrounded by a vast amount of outdoor space. Our curriculum is underpinned by a commitment to securing excellent learning behaviours, which enable our children to make the most of our exciting curriculum, which is bespoke to our community. We believe in providing children with the opportunities to become rounded citizens, rather than pure academics. Therefore, we further enrich learning through a range of challenging and exciting activities such as rock climbing, kayaking and bushcraft.

If you meet our requirements, and you are a confident and skilled practitioner, who can quickly build effective relationships with children, then this could be the ideal post for you. As a large school, there are many opportunities for the successful candidate to develop their skills and further progress their career in both leadership and the classroom through our personalised CPD approach.
