Clayfields House Secure Children’s Home caters for young people aged 10-17, from a range of backgrounds and circumstances providing care, education, planned group and individual experiences to those who are deemed to require secure accommodation.

You will have overall responsibility for all front of house services including Reception, Administration, Finance, Catering, Maintenance and Domestic Teams.

Other main responsibilities of the post include:

The day to day upkeep of buildings, surrounds, perimeters and Support Services through the implementation of effective management, inspection and maintenance procedures and supervision of the Facilities Manager and Site Technicians. Testing of all security and fire detection systems in accordance with procedure.  Monitoring and ensuring the efficient operation of essential services, machinery and equipment including air conditioning, auxiliary power generation, heating / lighting, CCTV, paging and other electronic systems and associated control mechanisms associated with a secure establishment.    

Operating as a member of the Senior Leadership Team, you will be responsible for ensuring a high standard of Health, Safety and Welfare for staff, visitors and, just as importantly, the young people that reside at Clayfields House. 

Rota out of hours working will be required within the remit of the post.
