We are looking to recruit Contact Support Workers to assist the delivery of Supervised Family Time. The role of the Contact Support Worker is to supervise family time between children who are in the care of the Local Authority, or may have a child protection plan, and their birth families. The Contact Support Worker may also need to transport children to and from family time sessions. Duties will include maintaining contact venues, supporting Social Workers in their role, and completing written electronic records of family time sessions.

You will be linked to a base in either the North Worksop base, South Gedling or Central Ashfield and Mansfield areas of the county and there will be expectation for some cross county working as required. We are looking for someone who has had direct experience of working with children and knowledge of child development. They need to work well as part of a team as well as being able to use their own initiative and have good written, verbal, IT, and communication skills.

We wish to appoint a caring and sensitive worker who will undertake this challenging and rewarding role flexibly and creatively, ensuring they promote best outcomes and experiences for children and families.

Qualifications required are GCSE passes at grade C or above in English and maths. QCF – level 3 (previously NVQ Level 3) Social Care or Child Care or an equivalent qualification - applicants may provide evidence of ‘working towards’ the qualification.
