Helmsley Rd Short Breaks Service supports adults with a moderate to severe learning disablity - 18 to 65 and their carers. The unit has 12 respite beds.
Required to working shifts - 6.45am to 2.45pm and 2.15pm to 10.15pm, including weekends and Bank Holidays. These 3 posts involve support with personal care, social interaction and following individuals support plans to enable individuals to make choices in their every day lives. You will be expected to contribute to running records and reports and there is a requirement to undertake domestic activities. A working knowledge of health and safety and emergency procedures is necessary. You will be expected to undertake an induction and the care certificate and have, or work towards, Diploma level 2 in Care, with an expectation to attend mandatory training on an on- going basis. You will be expected to work in accordance with departmental policies and procedures. Applicants will be expected to demonstrate a commitment to the County Councils Equal opportunities policy.
