Construction Tutor

Inspire Learning - Skills for Employment is keen to recruit an enthusiastic and innovative Tutor to deliver Construction Aim Awards at L1 and L2 on its Study Programme provision. The course provides opportunities for disadvantaged young people to engage in positive activities that encourage employability and personal and social development.

Based primarily in Sutton-in-Ashfield at Eastbourne House, you will need to have the ability to develop constructive professional working relationships and understand some of the issues facing young people in today’s society. You will be required to work Monday to Friday, delivering accredited qualifications to young people aged 16 to 19 who may have learning difficulties, disabilities or behavioural issues. You will be expected to embed maths and English up to Level 2 and need to be qualified to at least grade A-C in GCSE (or equivalent) in these subjects. You will also need to hold a teaching qualification (e.g. Cert Ed, PGCE, DET, or equivalent) or be willing to work towards one. A construction qualification at NVQ L2 or above is also required.

The post will be based in Sutton-in-Ashfield, although you may also be expected to support in the delivery of programmes at one of our other bases in Nottinghamshire.
