The Governors at St Peter’s Church of England Primary Academy Mansfield wish to appoint a Temporary Care Assistant to join our dedicated team of staff.  The position will be to support children with complex needs within our Foundation Unit.  We are looking for an enthusiastic and friendly Care Assistant who can be confident in supporting children in the early years.  The applicant should be a team player and supportive of staff and children alike in an inclusive environment.

We are seeking someone who:-

  • has the relevant qualifications (or willing to work towards them in your own time);
  • understands how to use a range of strategies to get the best out of our children;
  • has experience of working with children in an educational setting;
  • has an understanding of potential barriers to learning and seeks to overcome these;
  • is patient and understanding;
  • is able to deal with confidential information and liaise with professional bodies;
  • is organised and able to use their own initiative to provide the best for our pupils;
  • is confident, friendly and professional;
  • truly cares about making a difference to the lives of our children.

The school converted to an academy on 1st November 2017, therefore the appointment will be to the Diocese of Southwell and Nottingham MAT under their terms and conditions.
