This role is for a Parent and Family worker on a part time basis within a new team within Nottinghamshire County Council, The Stronger Families Team. The Stronger Families Team is a multi-disciplinary team who work alongside children and families who are facing adverse effects which can place strain on a family remaining together. The aim of this team is to work with parents and carers in a reflective and holistic way to keep families together. The Stronger Families Team work with a variety of professionals including, but not exclusive to social workers, education professionals and the youth justice service.

The role will require you to work flexibly with families by offering specialist parenting techniques which is underpinned by knowledge of trauma informed practice, child development and attachment theory. This is a fast paced, intensive service and you will be expected to meet with families three to four times a week. This post is county wide and you will need to have a full, clean drivers license and access to a vehicle. (A taxi service will be provided where disability precludes this.)
